Featured Cheffie: Saliha From France

I'm 34 and I'm always thinking about cooking something new or some comforting cake.

Who is your favorite person(s) to cook for? / Eat with? My husband, my friends and family, especially my nieces!

What are your favorite dishes or cooking topics to teach?  A creamy filling for choux pastry or a pasta sauce.

Do you have any cooking/food superstitions? None

If you could get a tattoo of a food, what would it be and why? I wouldn't because it's a traditional tattoo my grandmother had that I'm longing for...

What is one dish, drink or food topic that you're really wanting to learn or master?  I'd love to master sugar and chocolate cooking techniques.

Favorite food(s) /drinks from your home country(ies): For France, meat terrines and breads. For Algeria, couscous and all the different doughs that need long kneading and rest.

Favorite food(s) / drink(s) from other countries:  Fresh Italian pasta, Thai cooking, Korean "Chap Chae," Italian cappuccino, Japanese sushis, North African tajines, English and American birthday cakes... and so much more...

!If you're not living in the same place where you grew up, how have your food traditions changed/ evolved with you?  I'm lucky to live in a country where both of my origins are respected and make me richer everyday.

Who was the first one to expose you to cooking/good eating? Who has the most influence on how/what you cook? *  First, my mother. Then, many bloggers like Julie, from "Jujube en cuisine," Christelle Tanielian from "Christelle is Flabbergasting," Dorian Nieto from "Dorian Cuisine" and great chefs, like Jamie Oliver or Christophe Felder. And so many others!

What is your never fail piece of cooking advice? Did someone pass it on to you? Did you learn that lesson the hard way? * If you have vegetables leftovers, make a red curry with coconut cream and coriander seeds and leaves, and sesame oil! And you'll always get warm and happy!

What would your last meal on Earth be?  A beautiful French cheese plate with a crispy traditional loaf of bread

Favorite kitchen equipment/gadget?  A blender!
